A blog is a perfect compliment for a tech, or any, company
My bud Ben has written a great primer for business who would like to start a blog. The last paragraph is key:
There’s no reason a company shouldn’t have a blog. And for startups it’s the easiest way to build brand, recognition and buzz. It’s also the simplest way to maintain buzz long-term, which is so hard to do in a world where new startups are being announced every five seconds, and there’s so much noise. Ben has written for b5media (a blog on startups in fact), and is now at StandOutJobs. We use StandOutJobs at b5media…so in addition to Ben’s tip on starting a blog, he posted, on the StandOutJobs Blog of course, a video on how to hire developers:
Hmm, I think that might be worth a shot …

Tris - Thanks for the post. The video still makes me laugh. I’m sorry to see it didn’t go more viral because it’s pretty darn funny, reasonably well done, and hiring developers is a huge pain point for tons of companies.

Thanks for the view. It was a fun video to make, and was done surprisingly quickly.
I’m surprised anyone found it who wasn’t a close friend of mine, but it’s cool that you did.
