b5media still top of the Toronto Startup Index

Call it bragging rights if you wish, but b5media is still on the top of the Toronto Startup index—Toronto Start-up Index - May 2008 | Techvibes Blog.
I don’t know what else needs to be said, except if they counted all the traffic from all our blog properties, we’d blow everyone out of the water, including […]

MapleLeaf 2.0 News: A lot has been going on - I’ll be on it shortly

I haven’t been posting lately and it’s not because there hasn’t been a lot of news.  There has been plenty of news, there just hasn’t been enough of Tris recently.
I’ve finally got things under control, but now it’s catch up time.
If you sent me stuff and I said “sure I’ll blog it” and I haven’t, […]

b5media welcomes Rachel Segal to the fold

It’s a busy time here at b5media.  We’re growing, expanding, and gearing up for great stuff.  We got word internally last week that Rachel Segal is joining us at b5 media–word is as a marketing honcho–which is very, very cool.  I waited until Rachel had made this public before I blabbed–good thing I didn’t have […]

Arrington Can’t Take Criticism from Leading MommyBlogger

It’s a fact of life if you’re in this biz, you get scooped.  Happens to me a lot, darn sleep always gets in the way, but I take it in stride.  I figure I can benefit from other folks’ wisdom and do a wrap up post.
Clearly, this is touchy subject for some folks.  Uber-blogger Erin […]

NewsGator Online adds aideRSS PostRank as fast sort option

Ilya emailed me this morning that NewsGator Online had added aideRSS PostRank to their sort options.  The cool thing about this is that you don’t need a plugin to use it.  So unlike the GoogleReader version, you don’t have to use Firefox to take advantage to PostRank within NGO.  Also, while this is limited to […]

Are better applications the solution to the information firehose?

The information firehose is something that we all suffer from nowadays. I won’t even use the incremented number of Web x.0, that’s just foolish marketing, but we are beginning to try to tame the information beast by pulling more together. Is that the right course and will it save us?
If services won’t save us, will […]

Colleen Coplick presents to CPRS on "Beyond Blogs", but someone didn’t get the point

Last Friday my friend Colleen Coplick presented to the Vancouver chapter of CPRS (PR people group) on blogs and social media.  I got a sneak peak at her slides Thursday night (she asked for feedback).  I think she was right on the mark and didn’t have too many (26, about right for an hour).
However it […]

107.3 Kool FM Kool Mornings morning show joins the blogosphere, live and on the air

Last week I challenged the Kool Mornings team of Robin and Frankie to set up a blog.  Not only that, I said I’d come in and help set it up live on the air.  They took me up on it, as you know, and this morning it all came together.
I got up early, 6:00 AM […]

107.3 Kool FM Victoria will join the blogosphere live on the air Monday morning

Morning radio shows should have blogs don’t you think?  There are always funny stories, community projects, contests, something to talk about.  Well the morning show I listen to on 107.3 Kool FM here in Victoria doesn’t have one so, I sent Robin Farrell this email yesterday morning:
BTW … why don’t you guys have a […]
