Let’s Talk Web 2.0
Maybe there is some Web 2.0 momentum in Canada. I came across a Web site called Talking Web 2.0, which focuses on technology (Ajax, XHTML, CSS, etc.) and design issues driving the development of Web 2.0 services. Among the people behind Talking Web 2.0 are David Crow, who also a key player with DemoCamp. Talk 2.0 recently ran a contest (it closed June 12) with three categories: best mashup, best Web 2.0 styled Web design/blog design and best user-defined category. The judges included my friend and fellow mesh conference organizer, Stuart MacDonald.

I’m a little disappointed. I had always had this impression that Canadians were just a bit above typical American hype. I guess Web 2.0 is just too alluring for our Northern friends to avoid…

Isn’t that site just an aggregator with some nice wrapping?

Hey Mark,
I’m glad to see that you came across the Talking Web 2.0 website.
Just so you know, we here at iUpload decided to start the site after talking to numerous people in the industry and finding that there wasn’t a common gathering place for developers & designers interested in things like AJAX, usability, mashups, etc. to collaborate and share their ideas.
And to answer Jevon’s comment…
Yes the content is aggregated from other blogs. However, all content goes through an approval process to make sure only relevant content is displayed.
Mark if you or anyone else would like to join the conversation please feel free to submit your RSS feed @ http://www.mesh.iupload.com/.
