Picking Your Communities with PikSpot

by Mark Evans on November 18th, 2006

The Globe & Mail’s Mathew Ingram has a column looking at PikSpot, a new business where people can create collaborative communities, and publish, view and share user-generation information such as video, audio and text. The service, which launched an invite-only beta earlier this week, is the creation of Scott Waddell and Geoff Norton. Both of them used to work at iRover, which provides technology to ISPs. Among the groups already created within PikSpot are UndoTV, which features TechTV host Leo Laporte and Lockergnome’s Chris Pirillo. Ingram said another group using PikSpot is author and consultant Don Tapscott, who plans to create the last chapter of a new booked called “Wikinomics” on PikSpot using a Wiki.
