What’s Open Late?

by Mark Evans on July 25th, 2006

If you’re a night owl or just looking for a late-night snack, iLate.ca may be a helpful tool. The service providers a list of what’s open late in three cities - Ottawa, Halifax and Toronto. It offers everything from grocery stores and coffee shops to hairdressers and auto mechanics. The service, however, is far from perfect. The search functionality, for example, is way too specific because it forces you to pick a particular day and one-hour slot (i.e. Tuesdays between 11 p.m. and midnight), rather than being able to search for places open 7×24. It would also be helpful to offer information about each place’s operating hours when search results appear.

Ilate.ca is such a great website with excellent concept. It helps to find businesses open on holidays, evenings and weekends. Also, it helps tourists in these cities to find places very easily.
