World’s Largest Community Blogging Project sets World Record-in Edmonton!
Chalk another one up for Canadians in social media. A group of bloggers in Edmonton broke a world-record yesterday for the world’s largest community blogging project:
A group of 100 Edmontonians has blogged its way into the Guinness World Records book.
The group set the record for largest community blogging event in the world on New Year’s Day for posting news about community events and local issues on blogs which were then compiled into one online journal. Source: Edmonton bloggers break world record, boost computer literacy
Sure this was a one-off to raise awareness, but eventNews.ca could certainly keep it going to help raise more awareness about events in Edmonton-not to mention the need for better computer training and education.
I’m going to be finding ways to help with computer literacy and training in my community-how about you?

Maybe it was the record for one day? The CBC didn’t have a lot of details on it.
